If it works when they are copied from the x32 system (will only be able to boot x32), one of these files may be corrupted on your x64 install disk. FWIW the word on the street is that 64 bit XP has major application compatibility problems. That is probably Microsoft's problem, not AMD. I've been through this dual-mode processor silly time once before with IBM mainframes. IBM eventually made it work very well as long as you stuck close to hardware interfaces.

Half the hardware vendors either never heard of x64 or say there is too little interest to bother (even Microsoft?) At least a few are responding, none of the software vendors for any of my products that don't work on x64 have any interest in supporting it because of ' no or tiny installed base' .
